Itinerary

Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, our friendly representative will greet you just before border control to assist with security, customs, and luggage handling. Then, you will meet your private driver, who will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo. Explore Cairo's busy streets or take in the breathtaking views of the pyramids from your hotel if you get there early.

Meals: No meals are included on this day.

Your tour guide and private driver will greet you and transfer you to the hotel to explore two of Egypt's most famous monuments on this Cairo adventure tour. It is a possibility to step into the world's largest archaeological museum and learn about the ancient history of Egypt while admiring over 100,000 artifacts. Here are the world-renowned Golden Mask of King Tutankhamun, gilded sarcophagi, and colossal statues of Ramses II. Your guide will tell you every enchanting tale of these treasures, how they were uncovered, and their significance in Egypt's glorious history.

After which, you will be taken to the Giza Pyramids, where you shall have a chance to see the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure, learning about how they were built while taking in desert scenery from atop a camel. Visit the Great Sphinx, a gigantic statue with a lion's body and a human head that has stood for thousands of years as a testament to strength and wisdom.

The day ends with a drive back to your hotel for a well-deserved evening of relaxation.

(Breakfast and lunch are included.)

Optional tour: Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids.

Your travel starts when you move to Cairo Airport for an early morning flight to Aswan before a tour guide and driver formally welcome you at the arrival terminal. Your journey should begin by visiting Philae Temple, which stands on Agilkia Island as a dedication to Isis, the goddess of health and wisdom. Discover how the Philae Temple survived by moving to protect itself from being submerged during the construction period of the Aswan High Dam through its elegant colonnades alongside intricate sanctuary carvings.

A scenic boat journey in the evening will bring you to a Nubian village to explore its lively streets and local markets while dining with a Nubian family. You should talk with Nubians while learning about their heritage through conversations, along with trying original Nubian food. End your day with relaxing moments at your hotel before ending the night.

(Breakfast and dinner are included.)

The morning can begin with peaceful relaxation before the Egypt trip to Abu Simbel Temples. It provides visitors the chance to observe massive temples Ramses II built to celebrate his achievements while honoring his queen Nefertari. Your tour guide will show you the intricate temple reliefs, which depict divine relationships and military triumphs, while also detailing the enormous operation needed to relocate these temples to their current location. Start your luxurious Nile River cruise that will serve as your accommodation throughout the next three nights after the afternoon departure. Enjoy floating on a felucca boat while watching the sunset over the Nile River.

After having breakfast, we sail on the Nile to two magnificent temples, each of which offers a different viewpoint on the ancient Egyptian religion. The Kom Ombo Temple is a unique double temple devoted to the gods of the falcon (Horus) and crocodile (Sobek), situated on the banks of the Nile. Walk through the fascinating dualistic structure, visit the mummified crocodiles in the Crocodile Mummification Museum, and listen as your guide explains the symbolic importance of these gods in ancient Egypt.

Then, you will reach the Temple of Edfu, which can be reached by horseback. Your guide will take you through its enormous pylons, holy sanctuary, and elaborate carvings that depict the mythological battle between Horus and Seth, thereby demonstrating ancient Egyptian storytelling and artistry.

At the end of the day, you will be driven back to the cruise after your Egypt tour.

(Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.)

The Nile cruise boat continues through the Esna Locks directly to Luxor. You will visit Karnak Temple, dated over 200 years in the building. Karnak Temple is considered one of the largest religious complexes in the world. The spectacular sights here include massive Hypostyle Hall with 134 gigantic columns, the Avenue of Sphinxes, and Sacred Lake. Your guide shall explain the temple's spiritual significance and architectural wonders, from towering obelisks to intricately carved chapels.

(Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.)

Your cruise ship stops so you can explore West Bank Luxor sites alongside a guide as you view over 60 pharaoh tomb chambers found in the Valley of the Kings' barren cliffs. Your tour guide will explain both the modern archaeological findings and burial techniques from the New Kingdom period.

The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut exists as a magnificent mortuary temple constructed for Egypt's first female pharaoh. Visit the temple with its fluted colonnades to discover the unique path Hatshepsut took to establish her historical monument. Your guide will share unique information about the two giant statues called the Colossi of Memnon as they guard the Theban necropolis with their constant presence for thousands of years. The hotel provides a return transportation service after completing your Egypt tour package

To ensure a smooth and comfortable journey throughout Egypt, we suggest you pack the following items:

  • Valid Passport (at least 6 months): Double-check that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned arrival date in Egypt, as this is often a requirement for entry.
  • Sun Protection: Given Egypt’s sunny climate, we recommend packing high-SPF sunscreen and lip balm with sun protection to shield your skin from the intense sun.
  • UV-Blocking Sunglasses: Protect your eyes from UV rays and reduce glare while sightseeing, especially when exploring outdoor sites like the Pyramids.
  • Hand Sanitizer: Hygiene is important, particularly when handwashing isn’t always accessible, so be sure to bring a small bottle of hand sanitizer.
  • Reusable Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is key, particularly in the heat. A refillable water bottle will help you stay refreshed while reducing plastic waste.
  • Insect Repellent: Particularly useful when visiting sites surrounded by nature, insect repellent will keep pesky bugs at bay and protect you from bites.
  • Appropriate Clothing for the Season:
    • Winter: If traveling during the cooler months, pack a warm jacket, sweater, and thermal layers.
    • Summer: Lightweight, breathable cotton clothes are ideal for staying cool in the hot weather.
  • Wide-Brimmed Hat: A hat provides shade and helps protect your face and neck from direct sun exposure.
  • Travel Adapter: Different countries have varying plug types, so bring a universal travel adapter to keep your electronics charged.
  • Camera or Smartphone: Capture stunning memories from your trip with a camera or your phone. Egypt’s ancient sites are perfect for photos!
  • Compact Umbrella: Though Egypt is mostly dry, a small umbrella can be handy during the rare rain showers, especially if you're traveling during the transitional months.
  • Comfortable Shoes: You’ll likely be doing a lot of walking during your sightseeing, so pack sturdy and comfortable shoes suitable for exploring archaeological sites and urban areas.
  • Medications: If you take prescription medication, ensure you have an adequate supply for the duration of your trip. Also, carry any over-the-counter medications you may need for common issues like headaches or stomach discomfort.
